Research

These activities are not only beneficial to your company, but they provide growth opportunities for Kettering faculty that are reflected through greater relevancy of our students' classroom and laboratory experiences.
The undergraduate programs at Kettering University have always been full co-op. Since the early sixties all seniors have been required to complete a thesis involving a project at their place of employment. At the present, Kettering University has students in co-op employment at over 800 locations around the U.S. and some foreign countries. Because of the co-op and thesis programs, Kettering as always had close ties with industry and business. The faculty have excellent professional credentials, and many of them worked in industry or business before coming to Kettering, or have served internships since beginning their career on the faculty.
Individual faculty, or interdisciplinary groups of faculty, can address a wide variety of industrial and business problems ranging from application of existing knowledge (consulting) to cutting edge research that is directed at developing or improving a product, process, service or material.
